Experience Cherokee culture and fun at their 107th Annual Indian Fair. In addition to the country fair carnival rides, games and exhibits, enjoy plenty of authentic local traditions, handicrafts and food.

In conjunction with Darnell Farms’ Labor Day Celebration, Jackson Co. NC NAACP’s President Enrique Gomez (professor of Astronomy and Physics) will conduct ‘sky scrolls’ to help guests become better acquainted with the night sky.  

As part of the weekend, there are also games, hay rides, corn maze, fishing, swimming, camping, music, labor speakers, fresh produce, home-made ice cream and other great food.

A celebration of art, music, green energy & community

Participate in an authentic Native American Powwow July 5-7 at the Acquoni Expo Center, and experience dancing, drumming, and tribal regalia. Hundreds of world-champion dancers and drummers will compete for thousands of dollars in prizes. Activities kick off with the “Grand Entry” march on July 5 at 7 p.m., and a fireworks display will take place around 10 on July 6. 

The Museum of the Cherokee Indian offers a family-friendly fun day of free cultural activities including traditional dancing, storytelling, cultural arts demonstrations, genealogy workshops, hands-on craft workshops and more.

 

The Factory is a large-scale indoor amusement park featuring virtual reality games, an arcade, go-karts, laser tag, a carousel, mini-golf, kids’ play area with inflatables, bumper cars, the Jump Factory trampoline park, and pizza and taco restaurants.
