Participate in an authentic Native American Powwow July 5-7 at the Acquoni Expo Center, and experience dancing, drumming, and tribal regalia. Hundreds of world-champion dancers and drummers will compete for thousands of dollars in prizes. Activities kick off with the “Grand Entry” march on July 5 at 7 p.m., and a fireworks display will take place around 10 on July 6.

Ever wonder how truly “death-defying” circus performers are? Well, these fourth-generation tumblers, acrobats, aerialists, trapeze artists, and contortionists are coming to Cherokee, and the feats of skill they put on display are truly astounding. See “the giant wheel of death”! See “the globe of death”! See the rolla bolla and, for some people, the most terrifying thing of all: clowns!

The voices of an 11,000-year-old culture are inviting you to come out and play. Cherokee culture speaks in its most thrilling ways through dance, music, storytelling, and arts and crafts. You’re invited to hear and experience it all during the Cherokee Voices Festival, now in its 22nd year. It’s free of charge and held at the Museum of the Cherokee Indian. Sponsored by the North Carolina Arts Council and the Museum.

The North American Indian Women’s Association (NAIWA) is sponsoring the Strawberry 🍓 Festival at the Cherokee Indian Fair Grounds in #Cherokee today from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m.

The festival features fresh berries, delicious recipes, strawberry products, and fun activities for the whole family. Admission is free to the public.

The Cherokee Summer Carnival presents family-friendly fun with a variety of vendors, food, games, karaoke, and literally dozens of carnival rides. The gates open at 5 p.m. on weekdays and 3 p.m. on Saturday and Sunday. The carnival is a summer celebration you won’t want to miss. Entrance is free to the public.

Cherokee’s family bluegrass music festival takes place June 6–8, 2019 with some of the brightest stars in bluegrass music. There will be live music daily from noon to 10:00 p.m. at the Happy Holiday RV Village and Campground in Cherokee.

Actor, producer and writer Ken Jeong, known for his scene-stealing abilities, has established himself as one of today’s top comedic stars. In May of 2009, Jeong appeared as the Asian-mobster “Mr. Chow” in the sleeper-hit comedy THE HANGOVER, and has had roles on the TV show “Community,” as well as a starring role in the TV comedy “Dr. Ken”.
