Assault on BlackRock

The 7-mile trail race will begin at 9 a.m. Saturday, March 23, 2019, from the parking lot of Sylva’s Pinnacle Park. An afternoon celebration featuring live music, clogging, the festival highlights ramps. Ramps are a native wild onion, harvested in the spring from the mountainsides, that can be eaten raw or cooked.

Tuck Trout Trot

A self-timed fun run/walk will be held on Friday, May 17 at 9 a.m. at the Jackson County Greenway. A portion of net proceeds from the Tuck Trout Trot benefit Jackson County Parks & Recreation’s outdoor programming, including the annual “Fishing With Kids Day.”
