Chinese New Year, Lunar New Year, or Spring Festival is the most important traditional Asian holiday. It is commonly called "Lunar New Year" because it is based on the lunisolar Chinese calendar. The festival traditionally begins on the first day of the first month in the Chinese calendar and ends with Lantern Festival which is on the 15th day.

Assault on BlackRock

The 7-mile trail race will begin at 9 a.m. Saturday, March 23, 2019, from the parking lot of Sylva’s Pinnacle Park. Runners and hikers will climb to the 5,810-foot Black Rock summit, on the spine of the Plott Balsam Mountains.
